We had the opportunity to help support a local fundraising event, The Giving Back Fund’s “Big Game, Big Give”.
In attendance were 500-600 celebrities, business leaders, athletes,
philanthropists, and VIPs. There were cocktails and appetizers as well as silent and live auctions. This year’s host was the award winning actor Alec Baldwin. In previous years, the even was hosted by Director/Producer Michael Bay, Hilary Swank, and Ashton Kutcher.
Also at the event was works from internationally acclaimed artist
and sculptor, Michael Kalish. A portion of sales from his artwork will go to The Giving Back Fund.
Just some of the attendees were Aaron Rogers, Adm Sandler, Larry Fitzgerald, Ashton Kutcher, Mark Sanchez, Marcus Allen, Chris Rock, David Spade, Russell Simmons, Rush Limbaugh, and Gavin Degraw.
The sponsors included DirecTV, Heineken, Tribeca Rooftop, Patron Tequila, Alcon Entertainment, Lamborghini, and Forbes.
For this event, United Rigging was contracted to lift two Lamborghini’s up to the roof of Tribeca Rooftop. We needed to use special plates to hoist up the cars and carefully place them in their final resting spot. Each of the beautiful cars were worth about $450,000. Of course we needed to lift these beauties with care, so we checked every connection twice and made sure to communicate everything that we were doing. We needed to lift the cars up 12 stories to the roof and it was very cold that day, but the team was up for the challenge.
